Boston Blue Midseason Finale Preview Reveals Emotional Breakdown, Penny, & More
New photos of Boston Blue’s midseason finale reveal that the final episode of the year, Collateral Damage, will feature a whirlwind of emotions along with action-packed drama.

The new images depict Reverend Edwin Peters (Ernie Hudson) and his grandson Jonah Silver (Marcus Scribner) having a heartwrenching moment. The two are hugging and seemingly in tears at the site of Jonah’s dad, Ben Silver’s, grave. He also has a black eye in the picture, implying that he was involved in some kind of physical altercation.

Additionally, other pictures from the Boston Blue preview show Mae Silver (Gloria Reuben) and Edwin in the back of a courtroom and Sean speaking to Jonah. Audiences can also see Danny and his partner Lena Silver (Sonequa Martin-Green) investigating what appears to be a strip club and interviewing its staff.
The logline for the midseason finale reads: “Mae faces public and family backlash over the consequences of her past decisions, while Sarah struggles with guilt that pushes her to take risks in pursuit of justice. At the same time, Lena and Danny dive into a tense homicide case, and Jonah’s anger over his father’s death threatens to unravel fragile family ties.”
Boston Blue airs new episodes Fridays at 10 PM ET. The midseason finale airs on December 19, 2025, and returns on February 26, 2026, on CBS.
