If you’re a fan of General Hospital and Days of Our Lives’ Wally Kurth (Ned, Justin) then you’re likely a fan of his music and band, The Day Players, which also consists of fellow Salem actors Eric Martsolf (Brady), Brandon Barash (ex-Stefan, GH’s ex-Johnny) and Carson Boatman (Johnny). General Hospital Spoilers February 2 –6

“After an exceptionally busy stretch, Wally Kurth has decided to step away from touring for the rest of the upcoming dates to focus on family time,” read an announcement posted on Instagram. The group assured fans that the actor is fine and “remains an important part of the band with hopes of rejoining in the future.” They went on to inform that General Hospital alum Scott Reeves (ex-Steven) will be joining their tour moving forward then expressed, “We appreciate everyone’s continued support and look forward to sharing what’s ahead.”

Aside from his Port Charles role and spending years on soaps, including a run on Days of Our Lives (ex-Jake) and The Young and the Restless (ex-Ryan), Reeves was a founding member of the country band, Blue Country, and co-wrote the song “Made in America,” recorded by Toby Keith in 2011.
