Casualty isn’t on BBC One tonight – here’s when the next episode will air
You may have noticed that Casualty isn’t on air tonight (28 March) – as the show takes another break from its current boxset, ‘Learning Curve,’ the medical drama is noticeably absent from BBC1’s Saturday night schedule.
The reason for this is BBC1 is airing Big Night of Musicals tonight at 7.45pm, a celebration of musical theatre hosted by Jason Manford, with performances from a star-studded line up of West End and UK touring productions.
As this is airing in Casualty’s usual slot, there is no episode tonight – which also means that there is no episode available to watch early on streaming service BBC iPlayer.
There will be a bit of a longer wait for the next episode, as next Saturday (4 April), the BBC1 schedule is taken up with FA Cup quarter finals, with the football match between Southampton and Arsenal taking place when Casualty would usually air.
This means that the next episode of Casualty won’t hit our screens until Saturday, 11 April, where the show will resume with the penultimate instalment of the boxset.

There is a lot to look forward to in the final two episodes of ‘Learning Curve’ when Casualty returns next month, as some huge storylines come to a dramatic climax and the future of the whole department is under threat.
The ED has failed two safety inspections over the last few weeks, in a devastating chain of events that started with resident doctor Matty making an anonymous call to the CQC after his first shift.
With the team already banned from taking in emergency patients at night, all hopes rest on this final inspection, or Holby will lose its major trauma status for good – plus Flynn and Rida have currently put their names down for redundancy.
Meanwhile, Kim’s eating disorder has continued to spiral out of control behind closed doors, but she has finally found the courage to open up to Matty after he put the pieces together about her mistakes at work.
However, Kim has urged Matty to keep this to himself, going as far as threatening to spill about his CQC call if he dares to tell the likes of Stevie. Will Kim get the help she needs in time?
