General Hospital (GH) spoilers indicate that Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) will tell Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn)

who shot Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). The General Hospital preview for the week of January 5-9 has just been released, and it looks like Willow Tait Cain’s (Katelyn MacMullen)

trial will resume, and a ton of drama is slated to unfold. As the promo closes, the final scene shows Alexis opening the door of her home.

While the person behind the door is not shown, Trina’s voice can be heard saying, “We know who shot Drew.”

Of course this is based on the weekly GH promo which notorious for bait and switch video scene sequencing! It’s not 100% that Trina and Kai are telling Alexis this!

As fans are aware, Trina and Kai were in Drew’s house the night of the shooting, hiding in a room.

The two were there to find the blackmailing evidence the congressman had on Trina’s mom, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), to release her parents from under the man’s hold.

Trina and Kai were in a “wrong place/wrong time” situation when Drew arrived at his home when they were there.

Of course, Drew’s shooter showed up on the scene shortly after, and the rest is history.

Trina and Kai didn’t help Drew or even call 9-1-1.

Out of sheer fear of getting caught, they grabbed the hospital records that showed Portia had altered Heather Webber’s (Alley Mills) medical records and ran out of the home as quickly as possible.

With that said, this doesn’t mean that they didn’t see or notice something that could help pinpoint who shot Drew in the back two times.

Still, will whatever Trina or Kai remember offer up concrete proof of the true shooter, or is this just another red herring from the ABC soap?

As Trina and Kai weren’t in the room when Drew got shot in and didn’t “see” the person shooting the congressman, could their evidence be circumstantial?

All arrows point to the idea that Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) might become the next suspect, as his alibi with Jacinda Bracken (Paige Herschell) is about to blow up.

So, will Trina and Kai’s “evidence” be the fact that they saw Michael’s car nearby? He was at the house, and this is something Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) knows, but has lied about.

Then again, because of the ringtone both Kai and Trina heard when the shooting took place, this could point them to believing Willow was the one who shot the congressman.

If Willow calls Drew at some point during the week of January 5-9, where Trina and Kai are in the vicinity, they may believe they finally know who Drew’s shooter is, and run to Alexis with the information.

Still, a ringtone doesn’t mean that she’s the one who shot Drew. In fact, the circumstantial evidence against Michael doesn’t mean that he’s the shooter.

GH fans know, the culprit is likely someone that’s fallen under the radar. So perhaps that ringtone clue will end up pointing to the direction of someone else.

General Hospital spoilers hint that this may be the week fans and the rest of Port Charles finally get the answer to the lingering question on everyone’s mind for months now – or Trina and Kai’s “shooter discovery” could only be more smoke and mirrors about Drew’s shooter – only time will tell.
