EJ Returns to Salem — Plus, Rafe Finds Out Whose Bones Were In the Crypt!
Meanwhile, Cat and Rafe recap recent events as well as things unfolding elsewhere. Bo and Hope, they say, are supervising the exhumation of Stefan’s body to prove it’s really him. And we’re reminded that while Stefano’s body was never found, it’s been seven years since he supposedly died. This means that his would-be heirs can soon have him declared officially deceased and stake their claims. Rita messages Cat to say EJ is back. Before Cat dashes off, she and Rafe share a close moment as he urges her to be safe. Later, he receives a call from Shane saying that the bones in the crypt have been identified. Rafe is stunned to hear whose they were, but in true cliffhanger style, we’re left to wonder what he’s been told…
Rolf Is Ready For Human Testing!
Gwen makes it clear to Rolf that her patience — much like ours — is wearing thin. Rolf reveals that one of the lab rats on which they are experimenting (which, by the way, is totally not cool) has been revived. Gwen is reacting to this when EJ calls to say he’s home and orders her to the mansion. Before leaving, she asks Rolf for assurances that there are people in the world who will pay millions for their breakthrough. Realizing how angry EJ is, she poses a question for Rolf: “If EJ does murder me, you can bring me back to life… right?”

When she arrives at the mansion, EJ is furious. How dare she release Dimitri without consulting him, all to satisfy her own need for revenge? “Need I remind you that your contribution to our special project isn’t your stunning intellect?” he barks. “It’s your husband’s cash!” Until their project actually starts making money, they need Dimitri’s money. Gwen shocks EJ by informing him that Rolf is ready to begin human testing. EJ is still ticked that she brought Dimitri home, but Gwen reveals her plan to frame her hubby for the DiMera kidnappings. How? Well, before she can explain her methods, Cat enters.
Good News For Johnny and Chanel

Kristen warns Sarah that Rachel doesn’t need two mothers. Now that Kristen is back in the picture, the doctor can exit stage left. Next up, Kristen crosses with Johnny and Chanel. Clearly not over the whole “my husband was put on trial” thing, Chanel lashes out at her husband’s aunt. Johnny tries calming his wife, who admits, “I can’t just glare… I have to say something!” Soon, they’re doing the ultrasound with Sarah, who tells them everything is progressing perfectly and the chances of her cancer returning are low.
Dimitri Vows Revenge!

Kristen heads to the mansion, where she’s not thrilled to see EJ. In fact, she informs him that she’s itching to dance on his grave! Next on her sunshine-and-delight tour? Running into Peter in the square to say he owes her money. But he’s no longer blackmailable — is that word? — because he’s now out and proud. She suspects that Gwen will drive him out of the mansion soon enough. After Dimitri warns that he’s going to make Gwen pay for “the very bad, bad things she did to me,” Kristen suggests he’s now a true DiMera. “Brace yourselves for a whole lot of turbulence, Auntie K,” he warns. “Because Dimitri Von Leuschner is here to stay!”
