‘FBI’ Season 9: Cast, Premiere Date & Everything We Know So Far
FBI is one of the biggest hits on television.
The series is currently in its eighth season on CBS. It premiered in October of 2025, and is set to run through 2026.
Created by Dick Wolf and Craig Turk, the show follows the Special Agents of the New York City field office’s criminal division as they take on some of the biggest cases in the city.

Of course, fans would love to know whether the series is continuing on for another season after Season 8.
Here’s what we know so far…
Yes, FBI has already been renewed for Season 9.
The CBS show received a multi-season renewal near the end of Season 6 back in April of 2024.

“The All-FBI Tuesday is a powerful force to be reckoned with on our primetime schedule. Dick Wolf and the talent in front of and behind the camera on all three series continue to deliver top-notch storytelling, riveting action and intrigue that has captivated a dedicated fanbase steadily across multiple seasons. We are excited to see what next season holds for all these heroic characters,” Amy Reisenbach said at the time.
Season 9 will premiere as part of the 2026-2027 broadcast season, although we don’t have a premiere date just yet.
We would expect it to appear on the fall schedule as usual, where it usually appears, aside from the times of unusual circumstances, including the pandemic and the Hollywood strikes, causing delays.
Right now, FBI airs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET. It’s unclear if that will remain the same for Season 9.
It’s also unclear who will be a part of the cast of Season 9, but it seems likely that the core cast would remain the same.
