GH’s Ryan Paevey Used His Surprising Hidden Talent For Rory Gibson’s Upcoming Wedding
Rory Gibson revealed Ryan Paevey’s important role in his upcoming nuptials, which involved making his wedding ring.

General Hospital star Ryan Paevey is playing a meaningful role in Rory Gibson’s upcoming wedding — and not in the way fans might expect. The actor is putting his hidden talent to use ahead of the big day, adding a personal touch that makes the celebration even more special.
According to a report via Entertainment Now, Gibson posted a screenshot of his video call with Paevey on his Instagram Stories. The screenshot showed the actor working on Gibson’s wedding ring.
“The homie… making my wedding ring,” Gibson wrote in the post. The wedding ring is for Gibson’s upcoming nuptials to Alicia Ruelas. The couple dated for over a decade and got engaged in October 2022.
Meanwhile, Paevey has turned to jewelry-making as a creative outlet. Outside of working on soap operas and Hallmark movies, he turned the hobby into a career. It led to the launch of his outdoor company, Fortunate Wanderer, which is based in San Diego, California.
How Paevey Made the Move to Jewelry-Making
In 2022, Paevey spoke to Just Jared about his love for making jewelry. He admitted that he was “looking for another creative outlet” during that time. Paevey noticed that many people were looking for a creative outlet or hobby during the pandemic.
“Everybody around the studio was kind of starting to get into some sort of hobby,” Paevey recalled. “The gals were all knitting and things like that. And I was like, yeah, all right. I need to [do something].”
Paevey didn’t understand anything about jewelry-making at the time. He admitted that he “wasn’t instantly good at it.” But that didn’t stop him from trying. He continued to make different pieces, which is when he fell in love with the craft.
“As you create stuff, you get better and better at it, and the amount of difficulty a project needs to have in order to give you that rush starts to ratchet up,” Paevey added.
