Why was Casualty not on last night and when is the next episode?
The medical drama was taken off air on Saturday night, leaving fans disappointed.
Casualty fans were curious after the medical drama was removed from the BBC schedule.
BBC viewers were left with questions after the long-running medical drama, Casualty, failed to air on Saturday night.
The show took a break from its current boxset following a schedule shake-up, to make way for another popular annual event.
The drama, which has been a Saturday night staple since it first started in 1986, is currently airing a miniseries titled Learning Curve. With only two episodes remaining, the BBC opted to pause its regular broadcast, and for a good cause.
Casualty was replaced by the Big Night of Musicals, which took the 7.45pm slot, and was a celebration of musical theatre hosted by Jason Manford.

When is Casualty next on?
Frustratingly, fans face an even longer wait for the next episode as next Saturday, April 4, will see the show replaced by the FA Cup quarter finals.
BBC One will be airing the match between Southampton and Arsenal, which is taking place when Casualty would usually air.
This means the next episode of Casualty will not actually appear until Saturday, April 11, when the show will resume with the penultimate instalment of ‘Learning Curve’.
There is plenty to look forward to in the upcoming episodes as the series prepares for a dramatic climax.
After the emergency department failed two safety inspections as part of a harrowing series of events that all began with an anonymous call to the Care Quality Commission.
With the team already banned from taking on emergency patients overnight, they are relying on a positive final inspection to turn their fates around. Otherwise, the hospital will lose its major trauma status altogether.
Fans took to X, formerly Twitter, to share their thoughts on the show’s hiatus, with one saying: “Settled down for Saturday night telly and just realised there is no #Casualty [sad emoji].”
Another added: “No soaps yesterday and now no new #Casualty tonight. We’re really in a television drought until soaps return tomorrow.”
