The next fourteen days in Salem begin with a hospital bed, a barely surviving son, and a woman who thought she got away with murder.
On Monday, May 4th, Chanel rushes to Salem University Hospital where Johnny is recovering after Sophia nearly burned him alive. She crawls into bed beside him, holding him close — terrified, shaken, refusing to let go. Meanwhile, Kristen and EJ trade nasty accusations. Kristen is feeling cocky because Sophia assured her Johnny was dead before Kristen killed her. But that confidence shatters the moment EJ gets a call: Johnny survived Sophia’s attack. Kristen’s smugness curdles into panic.
Jada reveals Sophia’s dire fate. They found her backpack. Her shoes. Blood in the water. But no body. Cat updates Rafe — possibly about EJ being replaced as Stefano’s executor and Marlena being added as a beneficiary. Leo desperately wants to see Javi, the firefighter who inhaled toxic fumes at Johnny’s scene. Will Javi turn him away?
Tuesday, May 5th brings Alex and Joy to the pub. He asks if she wants to stay in Salem. She says yes — because he wants her to. But Stephanie runs into Joy and the baby, and she has plenty to say about the lies. Alex is about to get caught between them. Tate, Holly, and Ari discuss Sophia — the apparent suicide, the note blaming Holly for bullying. Jada brings Amy Choy to the station: blood near Sophia’s belongings may be a match. Stephanie opens up to Julie about her frustrations with Alex and Joy. Gabi gets advice from Phillip — could it be about forged divorce papers and Vivian’s handwriting samples?
Wednesday, May 6th: Roman tells Kate to take a step back — possibly about Johnny. EJ warns Kristen, making it clear he suspects her involvement in Sophia’s attack on Johnny. The threat is unmistakable: if she played a role in what happened to his son, he will kill her. Later, Kristen is alone in the DiMera living room. She hears a noise. Calls out. It’s not EJ.
A bloodied Sophia walks in.
“You look like you’ve seen a ghost.”

Thursday, May 7th: Xander and Sarah support each other through the fallout of their reunion. Jada tells Stephanie she’s struggling with her own growing feelings for Shawn. Kate finally admits to Roman that she played a role in Johnny’s lawsuit — and the confession changes everything.
Friday, May 8th: The DiMera will reading begins. Gabi arrives with proof: the divorce papers were forged. She is Stefan’s legal widow. The fortune shifts. And just as the room erupts, a figure appears in the doorway — Lexi Carver, fully awake.
Week of May 11th – May 15th brings the fallout. Ari kisses Liam, igniting her rebellious streak. Shawn and Jada grow closer in her apartment.
